The project was launched by akquinet in 2009 and has been used successfully in numerous projects.

The goal of Chameleon is to provide a flexible way to build OSGi applications. The resulting runtimes are like chameleon colors: fitting into the environment. Chameleon is based on OSGi to enforce the modularity of the application, but especially focuses on the service interactions in order to build applications by assembling loosely coupled components.

akquinet supports this JSR and joins the expert group to take active part in developing the JPA 2.1 specification.

We are actively involved in the development of the frameworks and tools we use and have published several internal projects as open-source.

For the first time there is an integrated testing tool available through Arquillian for testing the Java EE ecosystem. In this article the requirements for a test framework for Java EE apllications will be exemplified. Also it will be shown how to realise simple and significant tests. The article ends with an outlook about future developments of Arquillian.
