Qlik Advanced Training Course

The Advanced training course from akquinet focuses on two training areas. First, participants are given a fundamental understanding of performance-optimized data preparation with Qlik. In our view, a Qlik developer is primarily an analyst and technical realizer. For this reason, a second training focus is on teaching participants about the concepts behind setting up an analysis application. “Only someone who understands his trade, has mastery of that trade.”

Date and Price: On request

Content:

  • Function accesses and the associated RAM behavior
  • For example, the function LOAD ... FROM FIELD
  • A look under the Qlik hood: symbol, data, and source tables
  • Using bit functions and operators
  • Avoiding bottlenecks: (Consideration: multi-threads versus single-threaded)
  • Set expressions (set analysis)

Training Aims:

Learning how to develop and realize technical concepts in the Qlik infrastructure

Prerequisites:

Qlik Sense Designer and Developer training course or 3 years of experience with Qlik

Learn how to Qlik

Our training is characterized by a highly interactive approach and effective knowledge transfer with respect to the training content. For this reason, training courses largely consist of exercises. Participants work together with the trainer to find the solutions. The exercises get more complex as the course progresses, but include material that has already been dealt with in the course, so that participants learn effectively through repetition. The use of a dataset created specially for the exercises ties in with our aim of imparting a fundamental understanding of the program and building up general problem-solving skills. Experience has shown that actual company data is too specific and so not suitable for teaching core training content. We’ve also observed that when participants have a chance to get away from their everyday work situation, they find it easier to concentrate on the fundamental technical and conceptual problem.

In addition, this ensures consistently high-quality training courses, irrespective of which trainer is actually holding the course. After the training course, participants are given the presentations that were used during the course and an app containing the model solutions to the various exercises.

The workshop day is used to directly link the knowledge acquired during the course to company-specific data sources and subject matter.
